CLUB21 x SHENTONISTA CAMPAIGN

For our second campaign with Club 21, we featured five personalities in Paul Smith’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection, of which their ‘A Suit To Travel In’ collection was a special highlight. The feature was focused on the theme of travel: why we are drawn to it, what we gain from it, and how it informs our lives and decisions. This series also included GIFs to convey movement, which was a first for a Shentonista campaign. In addition to content creation, we were involved in organising a contest for Club 21 x SHENTONISTA too, inviting Instagrammers to share their travel-related posts with the hashtag #TravelWithPS.

A peek at Clarence’s Instagram reveals his penchant for simple, well-fitted basics in a muted colour palette, as a well as a thirst for good food and plenty of adventure. But whatever colour he lacks in his on-screen wardrobe, he makes up for with his personality — see his chuckle-inducing, pun-filled captions, or, as we find out in real life, his amicable, chatty personality. The 25-year-old is already a seasoned traveller, and seems pretty well-versed in style as well; we speak to him and get to know him a little better.

Despite juggling many different roles at work, and with a wedding to plan for, Colin always makes time for several trips throughout the year. It seems that Colin’s almost always on the go, whether it’s for work or leisure, and his style is suitably appropriate: think plenty of well-fitted basics, and an obsession with sneakers that rank high both on the comfort and fashion quotient. Darius admits to being more relaxed when it comes to his style, nowadays — you might see him in a carefully pressed suit, for example, but with his hair tastefully undone and with sneakers on his feet instead of dress shoes. It all depends on the occasion, of course, but when he’s travelling all he wants to do is let loose and let go. It seems that Darius is content to let life take him along for whatever adventure it has in store for him, and he’s more than happy to just ride with it. We speak to him to find out more.

If there’s one lady who looks good in a suit, it’s Nicole. In real life, though, her self-assured air of insouciance belies a much more affable and down-to-earth personality. The same goes for Clinton; despite the fact that each time we’ve photographed him for the site he’s impeccably dressed to the nines in a suit of his own design, he’s just a guy who really wants to hang out over a bowl of bak chor mee. We find out more from this stylish couple who prove that the best travel companion is your soul mate and best friend — even better if they’re combined into one person.
